
I stood over the hill, the wind tickling my face and singing past my ears. The sun was high, the back of my shirt was soaked in sweat, and my hair was hot on my scalp. With heavy combat boots covered in mud and my M1941 Johnson hanging at my hip, I trudged down the steep hillside and walked among the mass slaughter. The German troops kicked our sorry tails and sent many good men and women alike to the Heavens above. I haven't been in this time stream long but it still pains me to see this much blood and carnage in one place.
