She found herself running towards the stream that ran past the green meadows she lived in. The water, so blue, cold and comforting was an escape that defied expectations for the poor girl. She would soak up her feet, the wet gravel between her toes, the occasional warm breeze slowly running past her olive skin and nothing seemed to deafen her loud, condescending mind like the sound of the nearby mills and the satisfying chirps from the sparrows. She knew she could always come back to this but there would be something holding her back.
A boy specifically.
No, she did not love him.
It was something far beyond love. something undefined.
There would be a bright flame in his eyes each time he saw her.
It wasn't a flame that defined infatuation.
but ruthless hate.
She knew him as the one who ruined her.
He knew her as the one who destroyed him.

So close that her breath caught before he even touched her. His hand closed around her waist and pulled her against his chest, firm and unyielding. "I never let it," he murmured, a small, cruel smirk curving his lips as his empty gaze locked onto hers. Her throat tightened. "So... this was all we had?" "And?" he said, his voice calm, dangerous. One hand slid upward from her waist, up to her jaw, slow enough to make her panic, deliberate enough to make her shiver. "D-don't," she breathed, frozen beneath his touch. "And?" he repeated, thumb brushing over her jawline with maddening patience. "W-why are you-" "Shh." His voice dropped lower, rougher now. "Let me do my work, little kitten." The words brushed her ear like a threat wrapped in silk. Then he turned her around. He held her throat from behind, firm enough to make her breath hitch, gentle enough to make her hate how it affected her. Her back pressed against his chest in a sudden pull, heat seeping through the thin space between them like a secret neither of them could take back. He tilted her head back against his shoulder, his face near hers, his breath brushing her cheek in a slow, deliberate tease. His hand stayed at her throat, steady and possessive, as though he already knew exactly how far he could push her before she broke. "You want answers?" he murmured, his voice low and dangerous, laced with something far more unsettling than anger. "Alright." She has scars like the moon, and fire like the sun. It doesn't touch me, but he's too close I feel his breath. I don't even realize that his hand has released my throat, and I could freely go if I wanted to. But I'm feeling way too many things at the same time. Why aren't you running, Jess? I then feel his lips on my jawline for a second; and I find my hands tugging into his hair, as I breathe a bit too heavily. He then lifts up his face, lips next to my ear. "So. Fucking.
