Carolina Jones-a girl who all her life had been told was a spitting image of her mother; Georgia Miller. Caro knew it was true and she learned to adapt. Her mother indirectly taught her at a young age, every decision, choice, mistake, had to be precise. There had to be a benefit at the end of it. Caro began living her life exactly like that, she portrayed herself as the perfect person, makeup always done, actions empathic, 'right' morals. She never fell out of line, and if it didn't help or benefit her in anyway she wouldn't do it.

Except when she met her troubled neighbor- Marcus Baker, all that went down the trash. There wasn't no reason for Carolina to keep him around, but she did without fail. They began dating even though Carolina had told him, he'd never get in her pants. He couldn't care less. Something about her drew him in, he didn't know if it was her eyes, her smile, her personality or the fact that when she stepped into a room it light up. She was the light in his darkness.

Marcus struggled too much with his depression and broke up with her. They were now exes who tethered the line like it wasn't drawn at all. 'Just friends' they said whenever they needed each other. But the truth is they could never stay just friends. Only question is will she leave or have her roots planted themselves far too deep to turn around and run?
