After writer's block, an espresso machine explosion, and a chaotic music mashup, my fanfiction writing finale sparked. Now I'm writing again-about a killer who can't seem to kill the oblivious boy he just might be falling for. Through their chaos, I finally found a way to express myself-by letting my characters get messy, reckless, and real.

This is my submission for the Give Me A Break Contest! Thank you so much for this opportunity, as well as the funny and chaotic music video for Give Me A Break. I love Waterparks and Michael's music, which was (obviously) a huge inspiration during the process. This fic is a messy, reckless love letter to both their sounds and the way they've shaped my imagination when writing this.
