If destiny is indeed true then it may also be inevitable, by definition. We are but protagonists in our own story, slaved by the bored force that wrote them.

Was Aeschylus right? Is there no way to resist the "strength of necessity"?
But the greater question here is. . .can we become the author of our own fate?
