Amelia Davenport died alone at the bottom of an embankment. Her last phone call was to her husband Matthew, who she had hoped would come rescue her.

But Matthew hung up on her. And as he did she heard her own children's disparaging comments.

Amelia Davenport had been a cut-throat business lawyer who climbed the ranks of the law firm Hoffman, Givens and Pratt, becoming the youngest Junior Partner in the firm's history. She had also co-authored law textbooks used by high school and college students.

When the twins were born, the Davenports insisted Amelia stay home to raise them. So she did. But life didn't quite go the way Amelia planned and she found herself on the periphery more and more, an observer in her own family.

Even Amelia had to wonder of her own family, if something were to happen to her, would they be sorry when she's gone?

Karma Calls Me Wife

14 parts Complete

(He thought he could cheat, lie, and escape. But karma doesn't forget. And this time, karma sleeps in his bed.) Ariana was supposed to be just another girl from a poor family- his mother's choice, his unwanted wife, and a woman he could ignore. That's what Leon thought. He had a girlfriend. A perfect life. A freedom he wasn't willing to give up. Until she played the game better than anyone. While he was busy trying to push her away, she was already ten steps ahead-rewriting her own story, twisting the rules, and turning his world upside down. But when he finally realizes that she's the only one who ever truly mattered... will she still want him? Because Ariana doesn't just take what she's given. She sees. She wants. She acts. She creates. And then-she steals. And this time, she might just steal his heart....
