A star is found

Starscream has suffered far too much abuse. He's done, and after being exiled from the Deceptions, he spends years alone in the forest, training himself to be stealthy after someone saves his life. The question is, who would save him? His few friends wouldn't dare help him after Megatron's wrath had unleashed itself upon Starscream. When he finally returns to the Deception warship to see how things are going, he finds that Soundwave doesn't recognize him. Why? Will anyone else recognize him now? Will his brothers, Skywarp and Thundercracker, know who he is? He also notices soon after sneaking aboard the Nemesis that he hasn't been as alone as he had previously thought himself to be. One day, he finds that someone has been following him. Who could it be, and why? When he finds his stalker, they seem human, but are they? What is their secret?

This fanfiction is not based on any show, comic book, or movie, but shares aspects from multiple separate bits of each of these. It begins with Transformers Prime Starscream, but as it progresses changes to many other Starscream designs, as sort of slowly changing back to a certain form. I'm not gonna spoil what that is, but here's a hint... It's from a comic.
