Serendipity's Interlude (Sequel to The Call)
After Serendipity's passing, things changed, both on the surface and in the waters. She created a new type of a Guardian, an order of Sisters, rather than simple lone warriors. They live together, laugh together, and fight for their lives together. Just as before, the humans hunt them, but someone leaked news of Serendipity after her death and all around the world Sisters are lost in combat. When one of her sisters is severely injured, Madeline, the leader of her family, must break the most important rules of the order: go to the surface. On the surface, the humans have recovered, albeit more curious than before. Serendipity's friends have moved on with their lives, given decades to recover from the shock of her death. Writing finished 2/28/21, word count +38,500k Heads up- there is going to be a bit of an AU because I'm in charge and I do what I want. Namely no Thanos, so nixing Infinity War and Endgame, and Fury was able to semi-resurrect S.H.I.E.L.D after CA:TWS. A RWBY story [This story picks up in the middle of volume 6 and is a rewrite/alternate ending to the show] Oscar Pine has just officially hit rock bottom. He's learned the truth about Ozpin, and his team is stuck in Argus, unable to go forward. On top of this, Oscar now fears he will lose his very soul to the ancient curse that ties him to Ozpin. But in the midst of his despair, he unexpectedly meets two strangers who just seem to appear in Argus. They have a pretty wild story, that they're not from the world of Remnant, but the only beings Oscar knows of who can leave the world are the gods. They claim they can help him break his curse and perhaps save Remnant. Oscar, out of options, decides to accept their help, and sets in motion a series of impossible events that will cumulate in confronting Salem herself, in her own fortress. Along the way, they recruit unexpected allies such as Winter Schnee, Raven Branwen, Emerald Sustrai, Mercury Black, and many others. They also uncover secrets about Ozpin that even the lamp couldn't show them, and they just might change everything they thought they knew about Remnant. (This story will deviate heavily from canon, including in ships and character deaths, I decided to tell it my own way, and I don't expect it to be everyone's flavor, but I do promise it's interesting. I love RWBY's original concept and did my best to write with that in mind. ~ About The Book ~ It's been over 2 months since October 31st 2022 the day Sunrise expelled the evil within him who terrorized him and his brother Moondrop for months on end. As the months progressed and the air was growing colder as November entered into December Eclipse was left in a crippled state severely damaged and unable to move deep within the dense woods slowly dying. However as he was slowly dying he was trapped in his own personal hell reliving all his actions from the past which drove him to feeling something he's never felt before... guilt. That guilt drove Eclipse into wanting to right his wrongs and turn over a new leaf. He wanted to start over and apologize for everything he's done. But what Eclipse missed the most was his brother Lunar created by his own 2 hands. Eclipse realized how much he hated how he treated Lunar in the past and hopes with this new leaf could regain Lunar's trust and become the brother Lunar had always wanted from the start but never got. So in the final days of his life Eclipse pulled himself together and mustered up enough strength deciding to get up in search of help.
