Religious Psychosis (noun)
A subtype of psychosis characterized by delusions or hallucinations with religious content, such as believing one is receiving direct communication from a deity, being chosen for a divine purpose, or being condemned. These beliefs often involve themes of guilt, salvation, sin, or persecution, and may distort religious practices or symbols in extreme, sometimes dangerous ways.
Hagiophobia (noun)
An intense, irrational fear or aversion to holy or sacred things-such as saints, religious symbols, sacred spaces, or even divine figures. In more severe cases, it may manifest as anxiety or distress when exposed to churches, iconography, or scripture, especially when tied to trauma, guilt, or intrusive thoughts.
