What Happens in the Desert

Every grain of sand and gust of wind holds a secret. It's the best-kept secrets of all that lead to the sandstorms that plague the desert principality of Tahir Dah, a small but wealthy Emirate State in the Middle East. Prince Ibrahim bin Amir Al-Mouza, sovereign ruler of Tahir Dah, has made it his life's work to be on good terms with the global powers of the world, though his most recent efforts have riled up dissenters who itch for a civil war.

U.S. Marine Lts. Lena Sinclair, Alex Ragnarson, and Chris James have gone undercover as translators for the men and women stationed at the U.S. Embassy in the capital city of Rifat. In reality, they're a tight trio of counterterrorism agents under orders from D.C. to identify and eliminate a mole within the agency. With rumors about the mole's suspected ties to the anti-nationalist terrorist group Allah's Rapture, Lena, Alex, and Chris are also tasked with protecting the Prince and his family from assassination and preventing an international incident that could ignite another World War.
