A series of murders puts the city on high alert. The bodies are found drained of blood, too neatly arranged to be random - and too strange to be ignored.

Jax Dutton, a police officer accustomed to following protocols, finds himself forced to break the rules when the past returns in the form of a name: Navy Harlow. Isolated, watched, and marked by crimes she did not commit, Navy is everything the investigation should not touch - and exactly what it needs.
