Luminas - Red Winter

Helbrum the Silent, Lord of Slumber and Ice, was one of the ancient elemental gods, and he ruled over the cycle of hibernation, stillness, and memory. He was worshipped by nomadic peoples and northern clans, who saw in him the embodiment of patience, introspection, and waiting - winter as preparation for spring.

When Ashûram declared war upon the gods, Helbrum did not answer with armies. It is said that he descended into the bowels of the world, laid himself at the heart of his domain, and dreamed an endless winter. But the King of the World, seeing in this gesture a challenge, took an enchanted spear forged from the sun itself and hurled it through the crust of ice - piercing the heart of the sleeping god. The point of impact became the crater known as the Eye of Winter - a frozen lake of abyssal depth.

Since then, the tundra has changed. Time fractured. Silence became a living force. The dormant magic there pulses slowly, as if it followed the weakened heartbeat of a colossal being beneath the earth.
