Clara Alexandrova and Miku Martineau are both young, famous, and loved by fans-but they can't stand each other. For years, they've tried to outshine one another with awards, shows, and interviews. Everyone knows about their rivalry.

One day, they both get cast in a big movie called Silver Strings. It's about a rock star who falls in love with a fan. Clara plays the rock star. Miku plays the fan. Neither of them knew the other had been cast-and when they find out, they both want to quit. But it's too late to back out.

Now stuck together, they have to act like they're in love. That means spending lots of time rehearsing, doing interviews, and traveling for filming. At first, it's hard. They argue, avoid each other, and struggle on set.
