212 passengers. One flight. Too many unfinished stories.

On a quiet morning, Flight ZY-301 departed from Vedanagar.
It carried 212 passengers and 6 crew members all with dreams, regrets, and hopes stitched into their hearts.
It never reached its destination.

But this story isn't about a crash.
It's about the lives that filled that flight
the mother on her way to forgive,
the dancer chasing one last chance,
the child who believed the sky was magic,
and the man ready to propose with a ring in his pocket.

It wasn't just the passengers.
People on the ground, workers, children in nearby buildings...
And the voiceless too - birds, street animals, strays who had no idea their morning would be their last.

Voices in the Wind is a fictional tribute inspired by the feelings that come with real-life tragedies.
No real names, places, or events have been used. This story is entirely imagined - written with sensitivity, respect, and a heart full of grief.

As the writer, I'm still devastated even writing this -
thinking about what it must feel like to wait at the airport... for someone who never arrives.
I wish none of it had ever happened. Not in fiction. Not in life.

But some stories... even the painful ones... must be felt.
For the goodbyes never said.
For the lives that never landed.
For the voices that still echo -
in the wind.
