Scars and Sins

The rain masked the blood, but not enough.

It dripped from my knuckles, slow and deliberate, mixing with the storm as if the sky itself was trying to wash away what I'd done. But it never does. Blood remembers.

I stepped out of the abandoned house, breathing in the stench of old wood, wet dust... and revenge.

That's when I saw her.
Vidhi.
Drenched.
Staring at me like she had seen a ghost wear my skin.

"What are you doing here?" My voice was lower than usual, raw. "You're not supposed to be here."

She took one shaky step forward, the thunder cracking behind her like a warning.
"Who are you, Namit?" Her voice cracked too. "Was everything I knew... a lie?"

I looked at her - really looked - and I hated that she still saw the man I pretended to be.
"The man you knew was the man I portrayed," I said, letting the truth bleed through each word.
"You were never meant to know the real me. That man was buried long ago... under scars that bleed sins. And no-those scars won't fade."
I stepped closer.
"But maybe... they'll heal. With the right blood."

She didn't move. Not away. Not closer.
But her eyes blazed like a courtroom in flames.
"Then I'll find him," she whispered. "I'll uncover the truth you keep buried."

I smirked, rain sliding down the corner of my jaw like an unspoken dare.
"Not even a brilliant lawyer like you can stop me."

Then, lower... darker...
"Because this isn't just revenge, Vidhi. It's a reckoning... written in Scars and Sins."
