Alixan Aghni has a destiny. Defeat the Storyteller, the most infamous evil, and return the world to its' natural state.
Elvie Aghni, Alixans' younger sister, doesn't have a destiny. As far as she's aware, she's there to stay out of the way - been seen and not heard. If she can manage to not be seen, even better.
Elvie is due to start her first year of school - Hecate's School of Magic - six years after the passing of her parents, Llew and Irelia, and two years after her brother. She's nervous - Alixan nearly died during his first and second years - but Mr Shabaan, the Headmaster, insisted that Hecate's would be safest for them both, and she needs somewhere she can learn how to channel her magic, so they pack their bags and move out of the third foster home in as many months.
Alixans' destiny doesn't have a time-limit, and, as a result, the Storyteller tries to incapacitate him while he's young and inexperienced. Usually, Elvie is physically unaffected, but this year may prove different...
