It has been more than a thousand years since the death of the Earth and the abandonment of humanity's birthplace, the solar system. The last remnants of their race now roam the stars aboard seed ships in search of a new home, desperately clinging to hope and fighting off the eldritch alien horrors known only as "Gauna". One such seed ship, Sidonia, has suffered its fair share of pain, misery, and death at the hands of these alien monstrosities. And yet, fate seems to smile upon them in their time of a hundred-year peace. A lost visitor from an unlikely place comes knocking, and now, things are changing.
