Lottie Matthews was supposed to be a bride. Instead, she became a killer. On her wedding night, after her preacher husband reveals just how holy he isn't, Lottie carves her way out of a life she never chose-fleeing into the desert with blood on her dress, cigarettes in her garter, and a veil like a thorned crown. She doesn't believe in salvation anymore. Only survival. Dead Horse is the kind of town that eats the broken. It doesn't ask questions-and neither does Natalie Scatorccio, the sharp-eyed, sharp-tongued outlaw who watches Lottie roll in like a storm. Nat doesn't do saints. Lottie doesn't do trust. But when their pasts catch up to them in blood, bullets, and secrets, the two girls find themselves bound by something more dangerous than revenge: a desire neither of them can outrun.
