Seventeen-year-old Leo sees the world through the lens of his vintage film camera-quiet, grainy, and mostly forgettable. That is, until Arabella Night arrives at Tree Hill High like a thunderclap in lipstick and leather. Rockstar. Mystery. Walking contradiction.

Assigned to film a short project together, Leo expects attitude, maybe a power trip. He doesn't expect her. The girl behind the paparazzi flashes is weirder, gentler, and more wrecked than the headlines ever said. And she wants the camera turned on him.

As their project blurs into confession, Leo starts filming something raw and unfiltered: the version of Arabella the world isn't supposed to see. But fame's shadows creep fast-and with every frame, Leo wonders if he's capturing a beginning... or an unraveling.

Because falling for Arabella Night feels a lot like pressing play on a song you know will ruin you.

A musically talented teen with her sights set on the spotlight must find a way to get her life back when she falls in with the mob. ***** In a city where con artists make the rules and aspiring females wear sequins and dance with a pole, Melody Holiday refuses to ride on the coattails of her semi-famous grandfather. She wants the freedom to choose her own path to showbiz greatness. When a chance meeting with a handsome stranger provides Mel with an opportunity, she thinks she's landed the big one. But her grandpa isn't thrilled with the direction Mel's career is going, and it's not until she stumbles across something she probably shouldn't have that this becomes clear. Perhaps meeting the stranger with the Rocky Balboa eyes wasn't by chance. Maybe Mel is rubbing elbows with the kind of people who could take away her freedom for good. This story is loosely based on the author's feral youth. So, if you like your fiction shaken not stirred with a sprinkle of badboy on the rim, NEON GIRL delivers the goods; giving readers a dose of drama, a dash of romance, and a heaping helping of Las Vegas schmaltz. Oh, and there's a killer playlist, too. WATTYS WINNER! LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction and owned by the author. 17-almost-18-year-old Ezra Thompson is tired of two things. First, is constant chatter about Dilemma, an all-boy rock band, led by the supposedly-dreamy frontman Andre Robinson that somehow has a universal grip on every teenager in the world. Personally, Ezra doesn't see the appeal. Second, being in the shadow of her more smart, successful, and popular twin brother Emmet. Ezra couldn't ask for a better life. The thing is, Ezra, can sing. Like really sing. Only her parents who are occasionally proud of her, treat it as a juvenile hobby and she could never sing in front of people. So for now, her shampoo bottles get front-row access to her once-a-night concert in the shower. But when Ezra's younger sister, Maria, signs her up for a singing reality show called Finding Solstice, she is both angry and grateful. To her surprise, she passes the audition and is invited to Los Angeles for the show. Suddenly immersed in the cutthroat music industry, Ezra faces a whirlwind competition against fame-hungry singers, all fighting tooth and nail for the same prize. Amidst the manufactured forces of the industry, she must stand her ground and protect her passion for music. As if that wasn't enough, Ezra finds herself suddenly encountering a pretentious rockstar and is unexpectedly drawn to him. As the competition heats up, Ezra finds herself at the center of a brewing scandal that could end her career before it even starts. The pressure is on, and Ezra is torn between her passion for music and the fear of being dragged down. The stakes are high, and people are unforgiving, but Ezra knows that her music is worth fighting for. With her future on the line, she must navigate the twists and turns of the music industry and stay focused on what really matters: her music and her dreams.
