Nick Fury was the one who found me. He found me in the deepest, darkest depths of an old Hydra station. I was alone and completely surrounded by... water? No, I remember, it wasn't water. It was blood. So much blood. The blood that came from the bodies of the people who had tortured me for so long. I must have snapped. My breath was visible in the cold room as I breathed heavily from what had just transpired. My gaze lowered to my trembling hands, and all I could see was the stains of my sins.

Fury gave me a chance at redemption. I joined a team. A good team, but I hardly believed that I had the makings to be as great as they are. I am...broken.
