From Kingdom Aurelia, a princess was born, and they named her Serenya. Known for her beauty and gratitude, Aurelia loved their princess. Though soon, a dark cloud covered their kingdom once her father, King Tharvyn, rained hell on the land. Some say that King Tharvyn sold himself to the Darklings in order to gain more land and control from territories around Aurelia, though those are just stories made up by kids impressing one another. Serenya soon learns of her father's plans for their kingdom and insists that she simply cannot take part in this plan. In anger, her father shushes her in silence and locks her away in her room. Once she finds a way to escape, her father sends a quick-witted assassin after her. Although, he's not the only one who has sent assassins her way but not in a good way.
Nyelith, or Nyx, is an assassin given the name Shadeborn for her stealthiness and ability to kill in such brutal ways. She was given to Lord Redwan as a gift by the orphanage for his graceful donation when she was just six years old. Though, Nyx doesn't quite remember her back story, she knows who is to blame. King Tharvyn had killed her family and left the children there to rot or die if not to bend the knee to him. When word comes in the assassin's bay of the lost princess and the prize the King is willing to make, Lord Redwan sends after Nyelith for this task. Although, what Lord Redwan doesn't know is that she already has offers from various costumers to find the princess for very different reasons.
What will happen? Will the assassin kill the princess? Will she save her?
