Mama's Blue Kitchen

This is a family tale of the big, old-fashioned kitchen where my mother presided for more than 60 years. I grew up as the youngest of ten siblings, and over the years, most of my older siblings moved away to other states (including one sister who settled in France). I mostly have remained in the Detroit area, in three different houses (with two different husbands). But that big-but-somehow-cozy kitchen remained as a gathering place for local family members as well as those visiting from out of town.
