Story idea

This is heavily based off of pride and prejudice- but basically it's 1820s-40s and this family hires a painter to paint individual portraits of their children. The painter is a 23 yo girl who is taking after her grand father who is ill. She traverses into the building, and paints the mother, who is ecstatic about the painting. She then comes across the son, who flirts the whole time through his painting process. The families childhood best friend, who assumed she was to be put into the family, ruins the painting based on "you're meddling in this family too much, and you're taking the attention away from me smh". Painter doesn't want to intervene too much, and tried to back off, but the son is persistent because he is in love. and basically it's a cat and dog chase thing till they both admit they love eachother and kick the brat out to marry the other daughter. The end :P just random chapters I'll place in here and there, starting at like the middle of the book. I dunno, thought dump ig
