This book is a tale of an old cottage were a ordinary family live however there seems to be nothing ordinary about the corridor at the top of the stairs, the cottage is quaint and quiet situated at the back of a farm were farmer Copley lived, the children Alice and Jon who lived in old mill cottage helped farmer Copley a lot around the farm and its only when farmer Copley over heard the children whispering about the corridor he quivered with fear!!
