The Forgotten Crown 👑

She is five.
Small, silent, and always busy with her chores. She scrubs the floors of a palace that doesn't love her, eats the leftovers no one wants, and sleeps in a dusty corner no one notices.

She doesn't remember her name.
She doesn't remember being hugged or kissed or held.

Her uncle tells her that she was never wanted - that her mother died bringing her into this world, and her father and brothers abandoned her because she was too small, too weak, too useless to keep.
She believes him.
Why wouldn't she? No one has ever told her otherwise.

She talks to the stars and asks if anyone ever missed her.
She hugs her old blanket tight and pretends it's someone who remembers.
