In Night City, the rain never stops - it just washes the blood off the sidewalks. Jason Vega is a street kid clinging to scraps and second chances until a corporate hit leaves him with nothing but a name and a pulse. Alone and hunted, he falls in with a crew of mercenaries called Edgerunners - outlaws wired with stolen cyberware and one rule: burn fast or get buried.
As Jason rises in this neon underworld, his hunger for power and revenge feeds the machine growing inside him - piece by piece, mod by mod. The more chrome he bolts on, the more he risks losing what's left of the boy who ran the red light that night.
But in a city built on ghosts and data, nothing stays buried - not family secrets, not old sins, not the thin line between human and monster.

Sure, it's already November, and 2076 is just around the corner, but I only know about what happens in 2077! In this world, you might not want to live, but you can't afford to not have a job. Anyway, let's start by becoming a mercenary and picking up gigs. That sounds simple enough, but getting a job from a fixer only to face off against an ACPA (Armored Combat Personal Assist) right off the bat-aren't we going a bit overboard here?
