Ever since Shadow woke up from stasis by unknown means he's been going through cycles of grief and memories of what happened fifty years ago. Sonic and his family try to get close, but he pushes them away. All Shadow wants is to bring Maria back, but that's impossible.
Until some French kids bus breaks down in Green Hills and he learns about the miraculous and finally he has hope that he can bring back Maria and finally let go of his endless pain.
Unfortunately there are people out there who want to use his pain for their own goals.
(Hints of Sonadow but isn't really a big thing in the plot. Also I'm a Chloe good person fan just so you know)
