She subsequently meets our protagonist and becomes interested in him after his display at the meeting. After thinking for a bit, she decides to move to Tempest and becomes a close ally of Rimuru. Rimuru and Velzard will sometimes be out of character since it's unavoidable. Our protagonist will be more rational and have an actual spine, while Velzard will not be as cold and ruthless as her canon counterpart. Besides, Velzard lacks substantial characterization, so I decided to write my own interpretation of her personality based on the original light novel. I recommend at least having seen the second season of the anime since my story will pick up from there. This fanfic will follow the main story beats of the original light novel, so some arcs will be glossed over with minor changes. I'm somewhat OC, so expect a lot of chapter edits or updates, as I tend to reread chapters and catch minor mistakes here and there. (Note that this is Book 1 for the full story.) The story will follow the main story beats of the light novel, but events will be changed due to a close bond forming between Rimuru and the new monster. The bond will be explored along with the world around the two of them, giving more depth to the characters and allowing them to move outside of the main story's narrative. This is my first time writing something like this so I apologies if there are any glaring issues you may notice.
