Daffodils are named after the myth of Narcissus, the son of a river god in Greek mythology, a beautiful youth who became so enamored with his own reflection that he wasted away from longing. While their delicate appearance and graceful form are seen as a symbol of rebirth and hope. It is sometimes associated with unrequited love, a feeling of affection that is not reciprocated.

'My Dear Matthew' tells you a story about a pair of old classmates that never got to tell one another about their unspoken feelings. As they grew older, a mixture of feelings-guilt, regret, and longing-grew stronger, but neither was brave enough to speak up. On the day of graduation, marking the end of their high school days, they gave each other one last look with those eyes that had so much to say but were kept silent. Will those thoughts ever get to see the light of day? Or will they remain hidden forever, only known to themselves?
