Sam is upset at her prom, moreover her boyfriend but that's a different story, and feeling like her night is going terribly wrong. Eli is the one consoling her to make her feel better about the situation, they grow closer over time, and becoming friends along the way. They receive an invitation to his cousin's prom far away, which brings them even closer together. Sam feels guilty about developing feelings, but soon enough she is not the only one who's getting their emotions involved..
