When Joyce signs up for lessons to escape her house, she finds herself drawn into Lucile's world - one filled with candlelight, Chopin, absinthe, and secrets she can't resist. The two embark on a secret, slow-burning romance charged with desire and danger. 

But as Joyce starts to notice strange events - missing pets, odd power outages, voices on the radio - she begins to suspect that Lucile's past may not be just tragic... but criminal. And possibly supernatural.
