Chloe Carter, a brilliant but underappreciated young scientist working for the Syntaris Corporation, lives in a world dominated by rapid AI development and Robotics. Despite graduating from an Ivy League college at 21, she's constantly treated as a disposable assistant. One evening, while disposing of junk tech for the lab, she discovers a discarded, incomplete humanoid robot, deemed a failure by her superiors. Something about the broken machine sparks her curiosity and compassion.
Against all protocol, Chloe sneaks the damaged unit home to her small apartment. Over time, she begins repairing his body, reconstructing its code, and designing artificial skin and organs, pouring her brilliance and heart into what becomes her most personal creation. Slowly, the machine comes alive.
He learns.
He listens.
He begins to feel.
