After being ghosted by her best friend and moving to a new town, Y/n expects junior year in New Jersey to be just like the last two, boring, lonely, and something to survive. But when she gets partnered with Mikey, she finds herself making friends.
One friendship turns into four when Mikey introduces her to Frank, Ray, and Gerard who barely talks, mostly glares, and somehow ends up stuck in her head anyway.
Suddenly there are lunch tables to sit at, inside jokes, late-night hangouts, and maybe... something more with Gerard. But nothing's simple, not her feelings, not the weird tension between them, and definitely not what's going on back home.
Through awkward first kisses, school projects, messy parties, and one night that changes everything, Y/n starts figuring out what it means to let people in and what happens when they see the parts you usually keep hidden.
