Imagine living in a city that does not allow you to leave at all, exploits you as a person, student, and worker from the day you are born, determines and assigns the "perfect" job for you before you are born, does not allow you any personal freedoms (unless it is alone in your bedroom or bathroom with caution). It will torture or execute, depending on the status or identity of the person, if any law is broken no matter how small or big the law is. That's the city of Dimwar. Tall, thick concrete walls around its borders prevent anyone and everyone from leaving the city- anyone who tries will be searched, chased down, and executed. One teen girl, Taylor Kensley, begins a revolution to change this and fight for the trapped, oppressed people of the city. Will she succeed-- and how long will it take? WHAT will it take? And what will she have to lose to get there?

A dystopian thriller that evolves into a violent sci-fi nightmare with hints of monster (very) dark romance. --------- Alice has a good life: a great job, a cozy, paid-off apartment, and a loving husband. She also has an oppressive government, a war-torn city, and general social decay around her, and what seems to be an alien invasion, though nobody is willing to admit it. You know, the kind of things that can really throw a wrench into a morning commute. She should have left a long time ago, but right or wrong, it's her country. What's the worst that could happen? No, seriously, what's literally the worst? ------ It starts as my lightest and most melancholic work, but will end up the heaviest -- expect constantly rising tension as we go from moody dystopia into politics and philosophy into bdsm and violence, and into... oh well, read it. Overarching themes: evolution, adaptation, duty, freedom, metal music. The first 10 chapters are a clean, dystopian, political story. From 11th chapter on, wheels come off. I tried to make it sound universal; still, you can figure out approximately when I had it first outlined. Warnings (from chapter 11 on): violence, attempted SA, dubcon, smut. ----------- If you are reading this story on any other platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

In a world where emotion is outlawed, expression is criminal, and the mind is the most feared weapon of all, one girl refuses to go silent. Ruelle has always been told she feels too much. Too deeply. Too loudly. In a future shaped by the ashes of war and the cold logic of artificial peace, the government has eradicated chaos the only way it knew how-by diagnosing it. Passion is now a pathology. Art is evidence. Expression is a confession. And those who resist are sent to ERA: the Emotional Rehabilitation Asylum, where thoughts are monitored, and minds are broken into compliance. Ruelle has survived here longer than most-not because she's strong, but because she's quiet. She knows the rules. She knows not to cry, not to dream, not to speak unless spoken to. She knows silence is safety. But silence can't hold back what's rising inside her: the memories they tried to erase, the truths they tried to rewrite, and the betrayal that got her locked away in the first place. Her mind has become her last sanctuary-and her last battlefield. Ruelle begins to see that madness might be the last form of freedom-and love, the most dangerous expression of all. In a regime where peace means control and sanity means submission, one thought can start a war. And Ruelle is done thinking quietly. ________________________________________ Perfect for fans of Delirium, Shatter Me, and 1984, Sanity's Crime is a haunting, poetic, and sharp-edged exploration of a girl who dares to feel in a world that punishes feeling. With mind-twisting dystopia, slow-burn rebellion, and prose that cuts like glass, this is not just a story about surviving the system-it's about destroying it from within.

Psychological Horror and Slow-burn Dark Romance. 18+ --------------------------- It's been five years since that fateful Friday night. I remember it like it was yesterday. The night I was kidnapped. I was held against my will. Tortured. Starved. Broken apart, piece by piece. All in the name of "curing" me. He didn't just steal my freedom. He rewrote the rules of pain, of fear - and then, somehow, of love. If you'd told me I'd fall for the man who ruined my life, I would've laughed in your face. But reality doesn't always follow logic. He's given me this journal and I'm going to write my story. This is my truth. My confession. My war cry. Because what he did to me deserves to be known. --------------------------- THIS BOOK CONTAINS TRAUMATIC CONTENT!
