- She was born with the gift to feel everything- But no one warned her what that gift would cost. In a Southern hood scarred by generational pain, Suzy was just a brownskin girl with soft eyes, two little brothers, and too much weight on her back. She could feel it all-the grief, the fear, the rage no one dared to speak on. An empath by blood, but a burden-bearer by force. People came to her broken, heavy, hollow. She took their pain-every cut, scream, and silent sorrow-into herself. At first, she did it to help. But pain don't leave easy. And what happens when an empath takes on too much? She breaks. She bends. And then she becomes something else entirely. Now the hood whispers about her like a ghost story. They call her savior. They call her curse. They call her Suzy. And when she takes your pain... She might just take you with it.

Riley's always been a positive little creature. She had amazing friends, a loving family, and a wonderful sense of self. However, what if one incident made everything crumble to the ground? Now she has to start from scratch. Can Riley piece her life back together while protecting herself from a dangerous being? TW: This story contains blood, death, gore, manipulation, friendship/family issues, and slight emotional abuse. I would advise you not to read if you are sensitive to any of these topics. This story is a work in progress, and will likely have many parts. If you notice any mistakes in my writing, or have any questions, feel free to ask or let me know. :)
