Damola

My fingers curl against the soft fabrics of my short pleated skirt till the veins on the back of my hands are popping painfully.

"Why are you not putting on socks?" Jemima stands high and mighty while I was down on my knees in the dining room, beside the SS2 student's table.

I force my mouth to stay shut, my eyes focus on her shoes, my breathing steady, this is one of the price I have to pay for my plan to work. Jemima repeats her question, this time louder.

"Powwow!" My head suddenly tilts to the side as her soft hand came down on my left cheek. I swallow a deep heavy breath still willing myself to obediently stay on my knee and let her think she has power over me.

"Where is Damola?" The ground shook as Mr Clark's thunderous voice called my name.

Here we go, I put on my most innocent face by making my eyeballs widen as if in partial shock, my nose slightly flared and mouth turned down in sadness.

Clark noticed me on my knee and immediately stormed over to Jemima, "What's going on here?."

Even rich spoilt senior Jemima wavered under Clark's intimidating demeanor.

"I'm p.. punishing her for breaking the rules," Jemima stutters?. How nice.

"My own star student?. Nibo. Come on get out. Damola get up and follow me!. Shut up!" His voice is one of the things that made me choose me as part of my plan and I'm glad I did.

I get up slowly, my innocent face intact. The sharp intake of breaths from guys and the fixed gazes of other girls almost made me smirk. This innocent face makes look cute and vulnerable at the same time.

Jeremiah hisses loudly in annoyance, complaining about her having the right to punish disobedient girls.

As I follow Clark with my hands folded shyly around me, I intentionally tilted my head towards Jemima without breaking my step, then I throw her my best dirty look making her jaw drop in shock. Before anyone else could notice, I turned back around again.

My plan is working. I will fulfill my purpose in this school.
