Once Upon A Devil

📖 Plot Summary (3-Act Structure):

Act I - The Summoning

In a world where demonic portals bleed into reality, you (or an OC) are a gifted occultist who accidentally performs a forbidden summoning ritual during a desperate attempt to save someone. Instead of summoning a demon servant, you awaken Vergil, fractured between his human and demonic halves.

He's not what you expect-beautiful, devastatingly powerful, but emotionally void. Still, something in him recognizes your soul. A tether is formed-one neither of you can break.

Romantic hook: He needs you alive to stabilize his soul.

Dark twist: If you die, he dies. If he loses control, you burn.

Early tension: He threatens to kill you constantly to end the bond, but doesn't. Why?

Act II - The Descent

Vergil's presence begins to fracture your world. Nightmares become real. Other demons come, drawn by his energy and the strange connection you share. As you both fight them off, you begin to see glimpses of his pain, his broken past, and his lingering humanity.

You start to understand him.

He begins to want you. But not gently-darkly, desperately, possessively.

You're pulled deeper into his world of blood and regret.

Meanwhile, your bond begins to change you too-making you stronger, but less human.

Act III - The Shatterpoint

Vergil is torn: his hunger for power is resurging, but so is something unfamiliar-love. You are both spiraling toward destruction or salvation, and the line is razor-thin.

Bittersweet: He severs the bond, setting you free-but loses his humanity forever.
