Arrian would've never thought that this was possible. Link and his shadow, going one-on-one; the brunette couldn't bear it. She couldn't stand to see the cerulean-blue eyed blonde in pain. So far, not much damage was done. A few cuts and scrapes, but that's all. Nothing fatal. The shadowed male gave a laugh, Link's grim expression going darker.
"How about I take away little miss Arrian from you, Hero-boy~?" Shadow purred, reaching for the brunette, whom gave a shriek as her braids whipped behind her shoulders as she was pulled towards the purple-haired villain. He smirked, holding her tightly against his chest and gently pressing his lips against her cheek.
"D-Don't touch me!" Arrian shrieked, placing her hands on his chest and pushing, clenching her eyes shut.
"Don't touch her, you freak!" Link snarled, lunging at the shadow.
That's when it happened. It happened in a blur. A crack and a shriek of pain with a choked sob, and a spray of crimson.

I turn so that I can look up at him and place my hand on his face forcing him to focus on me instead of my dad. When he finally looks in my eyes he seems worried. "I'm ok." I whisper trying to calm him... "you can let me go." He growls again and seems to panic at the thought of losing me. "Mine!" Titan says. Dad tries to reach for me. When Titan sees his movement he pulls me away from my dad and growls again "Mine!" He says desperately trying to keep me close to him. "He's my dad, Titan... he won't hurt me." I try to soothe the beast. I don't really want to let him go but I know if this goes on much longer Titan will get hurt. "Mine!" He growls softly, nuzzling his nose into my neck. "Yours." I whisper pulling away so I can hold his face. "But I need to go to my dad right now... please Titan." I beg him. He looks over to my dad who is still holding out his hand expectantly then looks back to me. With a nod he let's me go and I take my dad's hand. "Take him!" Dad commands as he pulls me away. I crossed my arms. "Lemme guess. You'd do anything to see him happy," I mocked. "She's delusional. I'm helping Arven's partner. Of course, he's happy about seeing Mabosstiff getting better, and I'm happy I'm helping their relationship and helping someone feel better." My Pokémon blinked at each other, clearly knowing something I didn't. "'Doing something crazy'. Do you think fighting titans for an incredibly powerful herb is crazy?" I asked Quaxwell. He nodded immediately, and I scoffed. I sat down at the edge of my bed and chuckled. "Her and her insane scenarios. When Mabosstiff fully heals, would Arven be the type of person to take time out of a wonderful moment to turn to me, reach out his hands to grab both of mine, look me in the eyes...." I felt my cheeks crack a smile as I thought about him again, the few times I've seen him completely break through his threatening persona and brighten the entire room with his sweet and excited energy. "He has such brilliant, stunning, shimmery eyes. I've never seen such a lovely turquoise color in all my life." I held my own hand and grazed my thumb with my other, deep in the fantasy. "He'd give me that adorable little laugh he did earlier today and tell me: 'You're amazing, Lugosi. I mean that. I'm so happy I met you...." I froze in realization. He just barely registered the girl's surprised expression before Drake's fist met Jamie's face. A searing pain shot through his cheek and up his nose. Something cracked loudly, and he fell to the ground, blinded with pain. There was muffled shouting and a faraway thump. Jamie reached up to touch his nose. It was sticky, and his fingers came away wet. His glasses had been punched off, and he couldn't see anything very well. Then he heard her voice. "I had it covered, you know." Jamie blinked, trying his best to see. Before he knew what was happening, she was touching his nose. He winced, expecting pain, but the throbbing began to subside until it disappeared almost entirely. Pressing something hard into his hand, Jamie realized she had found his glasses. The frames were bent and the glass had cracked. Jamie groaned. "I really should get some contacts." The girl laughed, and Jamie felt himself smile a little.
