I've decided to take on the challenge of writing about a writing prompt every day for an ENTIRE YEAR! I've been slacking on working on my writing even though I want to improve so why not do this. Hopefully I improve and you enjoy reading these little writing projects :)

[Writing Contest] Are you a writer who thinks they can write anything? Are you feeling unchallenged by other contests? Are you merely a writer who wants to start writing more? Or do you simply want to try to compose some different works? If any of those questions are geared towards you, then [Writing Master] is a contest that may interest you. There will be twenty contestants, nineteen weeks of writing (two pieces a week), and a contestant eliminated each week. Each week will be a different genre. The contestants will be required to write two short story pieces based off of the vague criteria I give. The first piece will be due on the third day of the week. On the third day of the week, you will get another piece that will be due on the sixth day of the week. On the seventh day of the week, a contestant will be eliminated.

30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge von stvnlra

This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. The Write to Rank contest is held by @action ---- Chapter 1 (White Belt): 100 words of running from a crime scene. Framed or guilty? Chapter 2 (Yellow Belt): 500 words of the epic banter between good and evil. Chapter 3 (Orange Belt): 800 words of a trip gone wrong, action-packed and fast. Chapter 4 (Green Belt): 1.2k words of mystery and action mashup. Write in active voice! Chapter 5 (Blue Belt): 1.2k words of scifi and action mashup. Reaction more than telling. Chapter 6 (Purple Belt): 1.2k words of historical fiction and action mashup. Show don't tell! Chapter 7 (Brown Belt): 2k words one-shot of a clear protagonist and antagonist, cliffhanger, and the line "If we do this, there's no turning back."
