She was never supposed to fall. But she did - for the one girl she was sworn to protect.

In a world where every soul is assigned a celestial protector, seventeen-year-old Aria wants nothing to do with angels, fate, or anything that dares to tell her what to believe. With fists always ready and walls built high, she's known for one thing: never needing anyone.

Then comes Muriel - elegant, calm, and clearly not human.

Muriel is Aria's guardian angel, sworn to protect her. But as time unravels and danger grows, their bond deepens into something forbidden. With one law above all - angels cannot kill - Muriel must choose between her wings and the girl who makes her want to be more than divine.

"If heaven won't take me back," Muriel whispered, "then let it burn."

A queer, emotionally intense love story of sacrifice, found family, and the choice to fall for love - even when it means losing everything.

Celeste Romario was never meant to fall in love. As the CEO of her family's empire, she was raised to value power over passion, control over chaos. Her marriage to Elijah Blaze was a carefully orchestrated deal-a merger between two corporate dynasties, built on wealth and influence, not love. Behind closed doors, their relationship is cold and distant, their perfect public image nothing more than a well-crafted illusion. Elijah has another woman. Celeste has her company. And love? Love has no place in their world. But then, Ace Astor steps into her life. A former soldier with a past of his own, Ace is assigned as Celeste's personal bodyguard-a man bound by duty, honor, and an unspoken rule: never get too close. But from the moment he enters her world, he sees what others don't. He sees the cracks in her armor, the silent war she fights, the loneliness she refuses to acknowledge. And against all reason, he wants to protect her from more than just physical threats. Their connection is forbidden, their attraction a slow-burning fire that neither of them dares to name. But the closer they get, the harder it becomes to resist. And in a world where reputation is everything, crossing the line could cost Celeste everything-her empire, her freedom, and the dangerous wrath of her husband. But some desires refuse to be denied. And the more Celeste fights it, the deeper she falls. In a world where love is a weakness, will Celeste risk it all for the one man who was never meant to be hers? #1 heartheart 10/03/2025 #4 heartheart 17/03/2025

"This is an Angel girl named Maisie Lark. She hasn't ever stepped foot into the 'real world'. Attempting to break the lock is useless and I have the key. I've extended the olive branch. Maisie's your motive. Come find me when you're ready." Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79. It was never supposed to mean anything. Just a fleeting moment. A beautiful mistake, soaked in midnight and quiet desperation. One night to forget the rules. To taste freedom in the arms of a stranger. To let go without thinking of the morning after. No goodbyes. No consequences. Only touches that lingered too long, and memories etched into skin like whispers. But fate doesn't play fair. Because when Mia stepped into her classroom that Monday morning, time didn't just stop. It held its breath. And there she was. The stranger from that night. But not draped in shadows this time. No, now she stood in the light. Composed. Commanding. Off-limits. Her new English teacher. Their eyes met. A flash of recognition. A pause too long to be innocent. Mia's heart stumbled in her chest. The room faded, voices dulled, the world narrowed to just her. The woman she wasn't supposed to see again. The woman who now held her future in the palm of her hand. And maybe, just maybe, still remembered everything.
