Awakening of the Glass

It has been almost a century since the Glass had become dormant. A highly dangerous, infectious substance that can infect the mightiest of individuals with the smallest of cuts. Mindless beasts, which attack anyone who shows hostility to Glass based forms of life.

A small scout group is sent to a decrepit Temple, rumored to contain relics related to the Glass. The group encounters a dormant strain of Glass, and unfortunately become infected, but... They're fine. Better than fine! They feel stronger, faster, mentally linked to one another, and every night, this... strange lullaby sings them to sleep. By Law, they are required to report home for Liquidation, but the Glass seems to be... different, this time. Have they encountered a new strain? Or have they been lied to by the nobles of the lands? If so, why? How long have they been lying?
