His mam did nothing when she would watch her dear husband that she loved more than anything beat their own flesh and blood. Even now, in a better, more healthy household living with his siblings in the Kavanagh house, Tadhg struggles to overcome his traumatic past. He's stoic, cold, closed-off. He doesn't let many people into his life, afraid of hurting them like his father hurt him. Until he met her. The first girl to make his walls crumble. Her father was able to save her and Gerard, but wasn't able to save himself. She doesn't remember much of what her father was like. She tries to learn about him, but nobody will say anything when she asks. Gerard always acts happy and uses humor as a way to avoid acknowledging the past and their mam has moved on with a new guy. Giving up on figuring out her father was, she meets Tadhg Lynch at school. She's instantly intrigued by his mysterious persona and is determined to wiggle away between the cracks in his walls.
