A story of a vampire and a human, the typical shit. But what if the vampire falls first? That, too, while literally being impaled. Join these two loveable idiots as they tell their story. \/\/\/\/\/ "Oh? Didn't you know? Stakes don't affect me, gorgeous", I smirked at the beauty impaling me. Her brows furrowed with confusion as she pushed the stake deeper and mumbled, "...what? How?" "That's for me to know and for you to figure out", I replied, taking her hand and pulling the stake free. With a playful wink, my form dissolved into a bat amidst a cloud of dark smoke. By the time the smoke cleared, I was already perched atop a rooftop nearby, watching her stare around in bewilderment, the bloodied stake still clutched tightly in her hand. "Guess those smoke bombs came in handy after all, huh."

The night she was cast aside, Iris Valtorien did not beg, scream, or curse the crown. She left. Branded unstable. Unfit. Forgotten. Six years later, she returns-not as a discarded wife, but as the Sovereign of the Obsidian Keep, a power the Empire buried two centuries ago. The Crown Prince chose ambition over blood. Now his greatest regret walks the capital in shadows... and his daughter calls him "Your Highness" instead of "Father". In a court ruled by legacy, silence is sharper than steel-and the Night remembers everything
