PERCY JACKSON thought that after the war with Gaea, everything would be at peace. Unfortunately, that never works out for him does it? Painful nightmares, old fears arising, the chilling thought of losing Annabeth, it's all too much. It only gets worse as he leads his friends into a trap they may never escape, a trap so sinister that the only thing he can do is figure out a way to communicate with them- but will it cost him his life?
As he trudges his way through his problems, a bright light shines, giving him hope. Beckendorf, Silena, Michael... Could they help him? He soon finds out, before he loses sight of them while battling a fearsome enemy, who he hasn't seen since he was twelve.
Later, he finds himself losing his powers. The realization could kill him. A son of Poseidon with no abilities? Never heard of. But now, watching his strength and power fade away before his very eyes, he's starting to believe that it's possible. Very possible.
Because what is a hero without his powers?
