People say there is no such thing as perfect. Once upon a time, I thought they were lying.

My life was everything I could dream of. Little five year old me was the happiest girl in the world. She had a family that she loved. A family that loved her back. A dad who smiled just from the joy of life. A mom whose eyes sparkled with absolute bliss as her gaze fell over her family. A brother who always protected her and looked upon her with brotherly pride. This love was a crystal that she held in her hands as if it were her dearest possession. But time passes. And one day, the crystal always cracks. And when it cracks, it eventually shatters.

People say there is no such thing as perfect. Once upon a time, I thought they were lying. Now, I know they were telling the truth.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl who was unable to see her own worth. She found beauty in the simple things, like roses, kind smiles, good music, and a deep conversation. But she was not simple, so she was unable to see anything worth while about herself. This girl was beaten down by the cruelties of this world, but then she meets him, her prince charming. But can even he convince her of her true beauty? Or will she ruin any good that comes into both his and her lives forever? ----- This is a story about a girl named Jane who is forced to be someone she is not. I wrote this story because I feel like we all have to conform to be how society wants us to be, when that's not who we really are, sometime in our lives. But we all have an escape. Sometimes it's through music, reading, friends, or whatever. Jane's escape comes through a boy named Mystery who helps her grow and flourish who she really is. Please read, it means so much to me because writing and helping others is my personal escape! I love you all so much! It's almost completed! I understand that my grammar is not perfect so please be patient with me because I will fix it someday! ;) *NOTE* This story contains some graphic scenes of self harm and suicide. Read at your own risk. This story was meant solely for awareness.
