I actually thought I'd be able to finish the job, that I'd be able to put these past few months behind me. I actually thought that I could look at him through the sight of this blasted gun and not have a second thought about pulling the trigger.

I was wrong, so wrong.

"Ryleigh, we don't have the time for this, take the damned shot," the voice in my earpiece snapped. I continued to watch Niall through the sight, no longer using it to aim, only to watch as he talked with a fan that'd stopped him on the sidewalk.
