Book 2 in the Runt of the Wild series:
As young Kate grows from a small abandoned runt to a fully trained Alpha, she learns about her past where everything had started.

Meanwhile, the Wild Wolf pack is getting ready for a bloodthirsty war against the River Valley pack, who has moved in and wants Kate's pack's territory. Kate must use her wits to find out who is an alley and who is an enemy.

A Runt's War is a great story about heroics, family, and truth as Kate learns about the past, present, and future in this sequel to the Runt of the Wild series.

[The picture on the cover of the book is of twenty-five-year-old Kate]

Book 2 in the Rootbridge Pack series. You DON'T need to have read book 1 in order to enjoy this. You'll find a plot summary for An Alpha's Alpha (Book 1) in Chapter 1. J, has been through a lot. A harrowing upbringing was followed by her and her pack being chased by a murderous alpha, Caine, who was intent on owning and destroying J's Alpha, Cassidy. Now, finally, after years of being on the run, J is...safe. She's always been on the outside, a lone wolf with just enough humanity left to attach herself to Cassidy and her pack, but now she's being offered a life in a loving, safe pack, with friends who are practically family. For anybody else it would be a good thing, a chance at happiness, but for J there's just one obstacle standing in her way: The King is dead, long live the King. She may have killed Caine, but his pack need an Alpha and right now, they think it's her. Realising the biggest threat to her pack is herself, J forces herself to leave and set out on her own. She should have known it would never be that easy. Whispers have travelled about Cassidy's protector. About the woman more wolf than most. * Alpha of the Blackoath pack, Logan Black, has been watching J for a while now. Sure, he tried to stop himself but his wolf is obsessed and so is he. Knowing he can never truly have her, he resigns himself to being her unofficial stalker, protector and guardian angel. So, when an underprepared alpha tries to capture her, he readies himself to go to her defence, but he should have known better. As he watches J destroy the pack who'd been sent to capture her, he realises that maybe, just maybe, he's found the only wolf in existence strong enough to match him. Strong enough to be his mate. Strong enough to kill him. However, when it comes down to it, Logan can't quite bring himself to ask the woman of his dreams to end his life, so instead lets her go - and that's where it all goes wrong.

Sequel to "Tiger stripes and Wolf Bites" Book 2 Biology, Genetics, Inherited traits. these are things that Peter has been trying to control and deny all his life. he's always been afraid that he'd hurt his family especially any mate he found. When his mate does show up things don't go very well. Will that rage boiling inside him erupt or will he finally find the solution to it all. Excerpt: The twins my age we were from the same litter, all have the same bastard of a father. The others da birthed were actually pop and dads. I knew my fathers loved us no different then the rest, but I felt different. When we'd hit sixteen da had deemed us old enough to know the truth and told us about our biological father. It had answered a few questions for me. I'd always felt a little different and not just because I was the only boy in the family. "Pete will you hurry up." I heard a sister say. I was their ride back to the house. pop and dad were staying here at the pack house with da and the little ones. We were going to the house dad had surprised da with on their fifth anniversary. With more little ones incoming they'd needed more room so he'd bought a house. I liked being at the pack house but home was better since I didn't have to worry about scary the shit out of the younger wolves. I really tried to be an easy going guy. Unfortunately I was a tiger king, comparable to an alpha wolf. The only ones who didn't scurry out of my way were my sisters parents or the alpha of the pack.

He knows his mate is dead. He never met her but he knows. No wolf wants to be without their mate but young Alpha Bane has lost his before he could even see her. In an effort to find himself a Luna he begins to court the Alpha King's daughter. How will it turn out for the soon to be 20 year old Alpha of Ice Winters Pack? Add to that a misogynistic, power hungry Grandfather and a war with the hunters you get Bane's story. The first few chapters line up with the beginning of my book "The First Princess". I like Bane and thought his story was worth telling so enjoy another side story! You can probably read it as a stand alone but it will have spoilers for "The First Princess" if you are reading the main series.
