Jinu's chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, noises muffled by the white towel between his lips. He had been loud minutes ago, cocky and taunting, even as the binds pulled tight on his arms and strained his shoulders. Rumi's sharp nails dragged down his back, raising goosebumps and red lines in their wake.
"You're gonna teach me how to be a demon?" Rumi mockingly laughed, her saccharine sweet voice dripping with sarcasm as she circled around him. "You don't even know how to be one yourself."
When Jinu returns - soulless and lost - it's up to Rumi to help him find his way back.
But saving him won't be easy. New enemies are rising, old wounds are reopening, and their love is hanging by a thread.
