This is something I wrote on AO3 originally!

Crimson never had it easy, anyway. Coming from a planet riddled with already-great warriors and being considered a prodigy had given her a confidence boost since she was young. When a neighboring planet decided to invade due to a lack of resources, her planet was caught off guard, her entire family was considered dead or missing, forcing her to flee farther from home than she had managed to go before. This also made her turn to a life of crime at a young age, earning herself a bit of a reputation. That planet didn't give her much luck. When she got older and decided to finally leave, she fell into a rabbit hole of various, worse crimes.

Now she was hiding from the Nova Corps on their own planet-thinking hiding in plain sight might be the best thing she could do, and it was. Or rather, had been, after getting caught up in a fight with a group of other criminals. Now the Nova Corps had whisked them away to a mysterious prison and what appeared to be no way out.

Written in 3rd person!
