The story of a young woman from the city who is haunted night after night by recurring dreams. In them, she feels a strange, aching familiarity, yet upon waking every face and figure fades away, leaving behind only fragments of the tale.

Within those dreams are a man she once loved, and another who was willing to sacrifice everything for her. Piece by piece, the dreams begin to reveal a forgotten truth of pain, betrayal, and of who she truly is. All of it is bound by cause and consequence, tracing back to a past life, when she was a fox spirit caught in a tragic love between a mortal man and a young warrior from the wolf clan.
